We used to call this time of year Cold and Flu Season

These days, I’d call it Virus Season. There are a number of reasons why we become more likely to be infected with a virus this time of year. That’s another discussion.

We need to get used to the idea that the viruses that cause Colds (more 300), Covid, Influenza, and RSV are all air-borne and in the environment pretty much all the time.

Perhaps the best things you can do to protect your Wellness is to do these things:

  1. Get vaccinated for Flu and Covid. Both are updated at least annually and protect you from the worst version of each.
  2. While these viruses are air borne, precautions like hand washing frequently, and wearing a mask if you have symptoms are best prectices.
  3. Do what you can to improve your diet or add supplements to keep your immune system strong.
